The Certified Marketing Communications Institute of Nigeria

The Certified Marketing Communications Institute of Nigeria, is a distinct and pioneer Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) professional and examination body. IMC incorporates the practice of Corporate Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Direct Marketing, Events Marketing and Management, Brand Activation and Management, Research, Sales promotion, Political Marketing Communications and other fields of human and business communications.

For thousands of professionals, corporate/public organizations including multinationals, CMCIN and IMC have proffered excellent solutions to the 21st century integrated communications challenges, satisfying the growing need of all stakeholders.

Launched into existence in year 2001 under Decree 1 cap 59 of 1990 (now ACT 1, cap 59 0f 1990) of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The creation of CMCIN as a professional and examination body (first in Africa) was due, in part, to the dearth of competent Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) professionals required to solve the growing corporate communication challenges posed by failure of hitherto monolithic approach to corporate and marketing communications. It is not a dissident group from an existing professional institute in Nigeria or elsewhere.
